Quick Bio

I started my PhD in the Tong lab in the fall of 2011. Previously, I completed my BA with Honors at Stanford University, writing a thesis with Kalanit Grill-Spector, and worked in the Harvard Vision Lab under Yaoda Xu. I am interested broadly in visual perception and how visual cognition can inform our understanding of the human brain. My current projects explore scene and object perception and the nature of their representations. I was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, but have spent most of my life in the United States. Outside the lab, I find myself seeking out more visual experiences through travel, art, and design. I was also a collegiate rower, but am enjoying the golden years of retirement.
