#SAS2016

Posted by on Sunday, March 20, 2016 in Uncategorized.

Jennifer and Tom both presented posters this weekend’s at the SAS (Society for Affective Science) conference, held this year in Chicago.  Nora also had a poster accepted to SAS, but she had to withdraw due to family obligations.  Craig and I had to miss SAS due to our trip to San Francisco, but we heard great things.

This is SAS’s 3rd annual conference, so they’re still a bit new, but it seems like they’re here to stay!  Craig and I still love ISRE, but it’s good to see a new emotion-related society, and SAS has a solid focus on cutting-edge science.  Plus it meets every year, and at least so far is meeting in the US each time, which means it’s easier to get to than ISRE which often meets in Europe.

Sounds like the posters were very well-received, and they got to meet some of our academic relatives and colleagues.  Even better, the conference helped pushed Tom to make the decision to stay here for his Ph.D., so for that we’re grateful to all who stopped by to chat with him!

Looks like the 2017 SAS will be in Boston – looking forward to it!
